I'm thinking of a winter dream
In my young and simple mind
When happiness was reachable
And love not hard to find
How I took for granted
The best things I could have
Never knowing someday
Life might be dark and sad
And I reached for my winter dream
One day when sadness came
And tried to take away my hope
I might have joy again
And the dream is my solace
When darkness takes my sight
Because I know dawn will come
bringing morning light
